Within the framework of this regional portal, the Council of Europe’s programs focus on combating human trafficking in the Southern Mediterranean region. However, since human trafficking often involves a transnational aspect, the neighbouring countries of this region are gradually being associated with this portal. This initiative also falls under the framework of Partnership, which is the fourth “P” of the comprehensive approach to combating trafficking.
