The National Authority for Combating Trafficking in Persons (INLTP) and the Council of Europe are pleased to invite you to the Launch event of the National Referral Mechanism for Victims of Trafficking in Persons (MNO) in Tunisia, which will be held on December 15 and 16, 2021. These two days will be an opportunity to encourage cross-exchange and international feedback on similar referral mechanisms in other countries, as well as workshops.

Tunisia is indeed considered the first country in the Middle East and North Africa to launch such a National Referral Mechanism. This launch marks the culmination of several years of co-operation between the Tunisian authorities and the Council of Europe aimed at creating a global system facilitating the identification and referral of victims to support services to ensure appropriate and effective protection and support.

The implementation of this initiative benefited from the technical and financial support of the Support Project for Independent Bodies in Tunisia PAII-T, jointly supported by the European Union and the Council of Europe. The launch conference also benefited from the support of the joint program between the European Union and the Council of Europe: “Regional support for the consolidation of human rights, the rule of law and democracy in the southern Mediterranean” (South Program IV), as well as a voluntary contribution from Switzerland.

This site has been designed with the support of the European Union and the Council of Europe within the framework of the joint program entitled "Support Project for Independent Bodies in Tunisia" (PAII-T), co-financed by the two organizations and implemented by the Council of Europe.
